Student athletes have a very unique set of transferable skills (leadership, teamwork, time management, perseverance, etc.) that cannot be learned in the classroom and make them a very strong candidate in the job market. Many of them have limited job experience and exposure due to the demands that their respective sport required during their collegiate careers. However, organizations that have given student athletes opportunities because they understand the skills/abilities that student athletes bring to the table have been very happy with outcome. Having these professional opportunities after they have completed their sports careers is greatly appreciated.
